华外创新融合部与PIEP爱培幼儿园用爱温暖寒冬 | Star·Brilliant Night——华外公益慈善嘉年华

With the main purpose of public welfare to help students, this event combined the forms of music festival and the booth exhibition together, incorporating various elements including food, parent-child, arts, charity sales, and so on, which was a joyful and cosy winter feast.

The existence of cold prompts us to find the meaning of warmth. The "Star · Brilliant Night --- FLS Charity Carnival" is one of the part of Huawai series charity activity "Warmth Programme". The carnival on that night has raised a total of over 65,000 RMB, which will be all donated to the Lingnan Foundation, aiming to build libraries for the children in underdeveloped areas to improve their reading literacy.

本次活动以公益助学为主要目的，将草地音乐节与摊展游园会两种形式相结合，融入义卖、艺术、游戏、美食、亲子等众多元素，是一场欢乐而温馨的冬日盛宴。

寒冷的存在，促使我们找到温暖的意义。“星光·璀璨夜——华外公益慈善嘉年华”属于华外慈善系列活动“温暖计划”的其中一环。活动当天筹得善款6.5万余元，将全部捐入岭南基金会，为欠发达地区的孩子们建设幸福书屋，提升他们的阅读素养。

Huawai has always taken the responsibility of fostering students who are caring, and has continued to integrate the concept of public welfare into the school curriculum. We have carried out various public welfare activities like the "Run for Love" Youth Marathon, Graduation Donation, Achievement Exhibition & Charity Bazaar, and so on, which have contributed to the support for the elderly caring, the education of special groups, the inheritance of the ethnic minority cultures, the rural art & music education, and the rural reading facilities.

We meet and gather together because of love. This time, we were able to allowed our students to participate in the charity with practical actions again, cultivate their sense of caring and social responsibility through community service, and applied our education concept of "whole-person development".

一直以来，华外以培养“乐善”、“行善”的华外好少年为己任，持续将公益理念融入融入学校课程体系，先后开展了“为爱奔跑”青少年马拉松、毕业班捐款、学部探究课程成果展及慈善义卖等各类公益活动，为支持长者，特殊群体教育、少数民族文化传承、乡村美术及音乐教育、乡村阅读事业增砖添瓦。

因爱而遇，因爱而聚，这一次，华外再次用实际行动践行慈善的力量，为创建人类福祉采取行动，让学生在社区服务中承担公民责任，形成关爱他人的自觉，培养他们的社会责任感，践行“全人发展”的教育理念。

In the event, taking the opportunity of this charity carnival as well as under the witness of thousands of people, Ms. Xu Dan, Vice President and Secretary General of the Guangzhou Public Welfare and Charity Federation, awarded "Charity Space" to Huawai Tongman Foreign Language School, which is a milestone moment, signifying that Huawai education and charity industry has stepped up to a new level.

In the future, Huawai will make good use of the "Charity Space", linking more public welfare resources, and focusing on charity activities that suit children's physical and mental development characteristics, in order to help them enhance the understanding of society, enrich themselves with good deeds, and promote overall development.

情暖冬日，与爱同行，借此次慈善嘉年华契机，在现场数千人的共同见证下，广州市公益慈善联合会副会长、秘书长徐丹女士为华外同文外国语学校授予“慈善空间”的标识牌匾，这是一个具有里程碑意义的时刻，标志着华外教育慈善事业迈上了新一台阶。

今后，华外将结合“慈善空间”这一优质平台，链接更多公益慈善资源，以契合孩子身心发展特点的公益慈善活动为抓手，帮助孩子们增强对社会的理解，以善举充盈自我，促进孩子的全面发展。

At the scene that night, there were various kinds of booths such as the creative products booths, the exquisite accessories booths, DIY handmade booths, interactive games booths, food & drink booths and so on. We were able to buy different things from different booths. Looking from afar, the tents on the booths were like twinkling stars, gathering the power of love!

我们拥有，所以我们给予，有人渴望，所以我们成全。活动现场，创意展品摊、精美饰物摊、DIY手作摊、游戏互动摊、美食畅饮摊，各式摊位应有尽有，义卖产品琳琅满目。远远望去，摊展上的一顶顶帐篷犹如一颗颗闪烁的星辰连在一起，集结着爱的力量。

People wandered among the booths and enjoyed the bustling atmosphere of the carnival. With the form of charity sales, we join a romantic winter feast, dispersed the cold with good wishes and warmth, filling the school with love!

It is worth mentioning that all the goods in this charity sale were provided by parents and children. From the selection of the goods, the arrangement of the booth to the purchase and sale of the products, all the work was done by the parents and children themselves. Thank you to everyone who participated in the charity sale, your good deeds will bring more warmth and hope to the children in remote areas.

人们穿梭在摊位之间，尽情感受着本次嘉年华的热闹非凡。我们以义卖之名，奔赴一场冬日浪漫，用满满的心意与美好祝福驱散严寒，传递温暖，让爱流淌在校园的每一个角落。

值得一提的是，本次爱心义卖的所有商品，均由华外的家长和孩子们提供，从商品挑选、摊位布置到商品买卖均由家长和孩子亲自参与与完成。感谢每一位参与者，您们的善举将汇聚成光，为偏远地区的孩子带去更多的温暖与希望。

We have a group of excellent students from PIEP, I-EP and IHP, some are cute children, some are energetic teenagers. In that night, they brought their talents to celebrate this event. Because of their great performance, We have experienced the warmest affection and enjoyed the most enthusiastic melodies in winter together!

从稚嫩可爱的孩童到活力四射的少年，无不是这座校园、乃至这个世界最闪亮的群体。当晚，华外创新融合部与PIEP爱培幼儿园的孩子们带着自己的才艺，前来为本次嘉年华演出助兴。华灯初上，我们欢聚在一起，共赴⼀场璀璨盛宴！共同感受严寒里最有温度的情谊，享受冬日中最具热情的旋律！

The I-EP PYP Wind Orchestra was the first to perform on stage. It was founded in September this year. And after a semester of dedicated practice, this is their first official performance! It has only been two months since the foundation of the group, and they were able to play a powerful overture guiding by the conductor and the musicians. Congratulations to all the students of the Wind Orchestra! We are so proud of you.

I-EP PYP管乐团率先登场，该乐团于今年9月成立，10月开始训练，本次的演出是他们第一次正式表演。成团不过两个月的时间，他们就能在指挥和乐手的配合下，演奏出铿锵有力的序曲，背后当然少不了一次又一次的刻苦练习。付出终归有回报，祝贺管乐团的全体同学们！

The children from PIEP Kindergarten, as cute as winter fairies, sang a series of festive songs for us. With clear voices and playful expressions, the children's super excellent performance made this wonderful winter night even more joyful and warm.

萌娃驾到，萌动全场，PIEP爱培幼儿园的小朋友们化身一个个可爱的冬日小精灵，为我们唱出了一连串的节日歌曲。俏皮的神情，清澈的嗓音，孩子们的精彩表现让这个美好的冬夜，更添一份欢快与温馨。

In addition to singing songs, the kindergarten children also rocked the stage with a wonderful string performance as well as a fantastic English dubbing show, which made us marvel at the infinite potential of the children.

别看幼儿园的孩子们年纪小，他们会的东西可真多，除了歌曲演唱外，更有精彩绝伦的弦乐表演与惟妙惟肖的英语配音秀震撼全场，让我们惊叹于小朋友们无限的潜力。

Dance, classical music, pop music, rock music... Here, there is the highest concentration of joy and freedom. Next, the children from I-EP and IHP went on the stage to perform. The moving melody, brilliant voices, energetic motion, steady performance and abundant emotions instantly lit up the night.

舞蹈、古典、流行、摇滚...在这里，有最高浓度的快乐与自由。接下来，I-EP与IHP的孩子们轮番上阵，嗨翻全场。动人的旋律、清亮的嗓音、稳健的台风、活力的舞步，饱满的情感，瞬间将此夜点燃。

Getting together with a group of like-minded people, chasing the music and having fun. In the wonderful choir and band performances, children cooperated tacitly, demonstrated their excellent teamwork spirit and musical literacy. The audiences were immersed in the performance, and the cheerful music was an unique memory of youth.

与一群志趣相投的人聚在一起，追逐音乐，乐此不疲。精彩纷呈的合唱团和乐队表演，孩子们默契配合，相得益彰，充分展现了我校学生卓越的团队合作精神和音乐素养。观众们随节奏舞动，躁动的乐声里是关于青春的独家记忆。

The special drama performance and the costume show pushed the atmosphere to the climax. The actors/actresses not only expressed their English fluently and accurately, but also acted with great skill, which won a lot of applause and cheers. It was an audio-visual feast that made people's blood boil and felt warm in the cold winter night.

精彩仍在继续，别具特色的戏剧表演和古装大秀更是将现场气氛推向高潮，演员们不但英语表达流畅准确、且个个演技在线，让观众们沉浸其中，掌声和喝彩声不绝于耳。璀璨的灯光照耀舞台，这是一场在寒风凛冽的冬夜里让人热血沸腾、倍感温暖的视听盛宴。
