【Our Role Model】曹舒怡：势不可挡，一颗冉冉升起的高尔夫球新星

This is the first national amateur tournament individual champion that Allison has won since she started playing. When asked about the tips for her success, she modestly said: "To be honest, I didn't really do anything special to prepare for this tournament, but I think it was all the result of my constant hard training and the long term perseverance."

There are no shortcuts to success, be persistent and time will leave a mark. As the student-athlete, combining studies and training at the same time, Allison put in more unimaginable efforts than her peers along the way. Behind her glamour is her countless practice no matter the summer and winter, her hard training of more than 20 hours a week under the pressure of heavy academic work, and her perseverance when facing doubts and setbacks.

At the same time, Allison did not give up her studies. She pointed out that even though she became an athlete, she is a student first, and studying is her priority, so she can't sacrifice one for the other. In order to balance her studies and training time, Allison always stays focused and efficient in school, completing every study task seriously. In training, she never slacks off and devotes herself to every exercise. Day after day of dedication and perseverance, the seed of her dream finally took root and sprouted under the watering of sweat.

这是曹舒怡自打球以来，收获的第一个全国性业余比赛的个人冠军。当被问到成功的秘诀时，她则谦虚地表示：“说实话，我其实并没有做什么很特别的事情去专门准备这次比赛，我认为这一切都是平时持之以恒的刻苦训练和长期的坚持所达成的结果。”

成功没有捷径，坚持不懈，时间会留下印记。作为一个学生运动员，同时兼顾学业与训练，一路走来，曹舒怡付出了比同龄人更难以想象的努力。耀眼的背后，是她在酷暑严寒中，一次又一次的挥杆练习，是她在繁重学业压力里，每周20个小时以上的咬牙训练，是她在质疑与迷茫中，无惧挑战与挫折的百折不挠。

与此同时，曹舒怡并没有放弃学业。她认为：“无论我是否拥有运动员的身份，我都始终是一名学生，学习才是我的首要任务，不能顾此失彼”。为了平衡好学业与训练的时间，在学校里，曹舒怡始终保持着专注与高效，认真完成好每一项学习任务。在训练中，她也从不懈怠，全力以赴对待每一次挑战。日复一日的付出与坚持，终于让梦想的种子在汗水的浇灌下，逐渐生根发芽。

Influenced by her father, who was a professional golfer, Allison began to learn to play golf at the age of eleven. Originally, she started playing golf as a game, but today, golf has become a very important part of her life. She is always looking forward to the day when she can stand on the LPGA course and win a championship!

"Golf has taught me so much, it has taught me self-discipline and perseverance; it has made my mind tough and strong, and at the same time it has allowed me to meet many like-minded good friends on the road of growth. Most importantly, I am now able to keep running towards my goal after numerous failures, setbacks and difficulties. I enjoy the adrenaline rush, the excitement, the shaking hands feeling of every race."

She remembered this summer, when it was time for American Collegiate Athletic Association to recruit new student-athletes. However, Allison failed to advance to the finals of three important tournaments in a row. Facing the loss, Allison struggled a lot, but she didn't get discouraged and didn't give up. Soon, she adjusted her state of mind and carried out targeted training through reflection. Finally, in the next match, she got a very good result and was chosen by the head coach of the CBU women's team. There will always be difficulties and obstacles on the way forward, the only way to reach the destination is to be determined to keep running, this is the philosophy of life that golf has taught Allison.

因父亲曾是职业高尔夫球运动员，受父亲的影响，在11岁那年，曹舒怡开始接触并学习打高尔夫球。当初只是抱着试一试的心态开始打球，到如今，高尔夫球已经成为了曹舒怡生命中极为重要的一部分。她一直期待着终有一天能站上LPGA的赛场上并且夺得冠军。

“高尔夫球教会了我太多太多，它让我学会了自律与坚持，让我的心态变得坚韧而强大，同时也让我在成长的道路上遇见了许多志同道合的好朋友。最重要的是，现在的我，在经历过无数次失败，挫折和困难后，依然能够不依不挠地朝目标奋力奔去。我享受每一次比赛的那种肾上腺素飙升，刺激，手在颤抖的感觉。”

犹记得在今年夏季，当时正值美国大学体育联盟对新学生运动员的招募时间。但一连3场重要赛事，曹舒怡都未能够晋级决赛。面对失利，曹舒怡非常挣扎，但她并没有气馁，更没有放弃。很快，她便调整好心态，并通过反思进行了有针对性的训练。终于在接下来的比赛中，她拿到了很好的成绩，得到了CBU女队主教练的青睐。前行的路上总会有艰难险阻，唯有坚定地向前，才能最终到达彼岸，这便是高尔夫球教给曹舒怡的人生哲学。

Each child is like a unique leaf, with its own pattern, colour and branches. In IHP, we believe in "tailoring the education to the needs of the child" and nurturing each child personally. At the same time, through the provision of student clubs, sports & cultural curriculum, competitions and performances... we also help students develop their full potential, achieving the well-round development.

It is the warm, friendly, as well as respectful educational atmosphere that motivated Allison and her parents to choose IHP. Considering that Allison has to go out frequently to participate in competitions, her teachers give her a relatively lenient submission time for her homework, so that she has enough time to ensure that it is completed with high quality. Our teachers also helped Allison cover the classes she missed because of the competitions during the recess or tutorial time without any complaint.

"Our teachers always embraced the uniqueness of each student with love and warmth, but they have never lowered their expectations of my academics because of my status as an athlete. As long as there is a problem with my academic status, they will talk to me, remind me, and try to help me make adjustments immediately The good learning atmosphere here also motivates me to pursue excellence on the academic path.” The great performance in academics and sports also give Allison more confidence in her future application for the university.

“这里的老师总是用爱与温暖包容着每个学生的独特性，但他们从来不会因为我的运动员身份而在学术上放松对我的要求。一旦我的学习状态出现问题，他们就会主动约谈我，提醒我，并设法帮助我进行调整。这里良好的学习氛围也激励着我，让我在学业的道路上不断追求卓越。”优异的学术与体育成绩，也让曹舒怡在未来的申学之路上有了更足的底气与自信。
